It’s been quite a summer for former Los Alamitos High School
football player Shaquille Richardson, And this is only early August.
Yesterday Richardson started his college football career at
The
University of Arizona, but that’s not where the summer started out for
the star cornerback. He spoke to OC180NEWS by phone from Arizona
Tuesday night.
Last month, while attending UCLA summer school, former Los Alamitos High School football player Shaquille Richardson was among three incoming UCLA freshman football players arrested on suspicion of felony theft. About a week later and before any decision about filing charges was made by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, all three were kicked out of UCLA and dismissed from the team.

Last Saturday and Sunday, the Long Beach Yacht Club was only one of more than 30 West Coast yacht clubs to host the Southern California Yachting Association’s 81st Midwinter Regatta. But it certainly must have stood out from the rest as man and machine on 34 boats were tested in consistent winds of 15-20 knots both days. Several spinnakers shredded, hardware broke and one crewmen received minor injuries when the six-foot swells and choppy seas added to the challenge.

And, that local baseball action begins now, and this coming Saturday, January 23, at 5:30 PM, Texas Hold ‘Em and baseball come together.
