Good Shepherd Church, Los Alamitos, announces “A Festival of Carols” concert on Saturday, December 10th, at 3:00 pm. This year the program will peer beneath the superficial wrapping to reflect upon Christmas – set apart by its mystery, mood, and magic.
Many styles and talents will be featured, including the traditional Good Shepherd Chancel Choir with classical instrumentalists, the hand bell choir, children’s choir and drama team. Songs will range from popular favorites, such as “The Christmas Waltz” and “Grown up Christmas List” to traditional carols such as “The First Noel” and selections from “The Messiah”.
Children will sing their own songs and join the adult choir and congregation for familiar Christmas carols. The hand bell choir will perform the reflective “In The Bleak Midwinter”. The drama team will weave music and narration into the familiar, yet mysterious Christmas story.
This Saturday afternoon event is a great opportunity to get into the holiday spirit. Enjoy the concert with family or friends and still have time to celebrate afterward.
