Lakewood, CA (Nov 2011) —Senior citizens represent a silent but growing portion of the community facing addiction to both prescription and illegal drugs. As dire as the situation has become, with appropriate medical intervention, many lives can be saved.
Dr. Stuart Finkelstein, whose longstanding practice in Cerritos has successfully treated hundreds of chemical-dependant seniors, will lecture on the topic of “Why Senior Citizens are addicted to drugs.”
Dr. Finkelstein is a popular lecturer who treats chemical dependency as a physiological illness requiring medical treatment. His specifically targeted methods for meeting the needs of the recovering patient, has a record of offering hope to thousands of recovering senior addicts. “If someone has an addiction, it does not make them a bad person,” says Finkelstein. “For the last 30 years I have been employing a medical treatment approach to help people with their addiction that helps them get back to living a productive life.”
