October 27, 4:30 pm – We were sitting in front of our home with our dog in my lap when a coyote trotted by, not more than 5 feet away. We yelled at it, and it scurried away. We called animal control, but no one responded. We have alerted all the neighbors. We called Animal Control at 8:15 and were told we should not react, that the coyotes are a part of the environment and that Animal Control will do nothing—no trapping, etc. We just have to stay in our homes and hide.
